Richard Jackson is the project leader for the Hammersmith Capability Brown Statue. Training and practising as an architect, then a garden and landscape designer he has been an enthusiastic advocate of Capability Brown for many years.

He has been ably assisted by Rosemary Pettit, whose local knowledge has been invaluable. Both serve on the Committee of the Hammersmith Society.

The Hammersmith Society is a non-profit local amenity society, which has for over fifty years campaigned for the preservation and improvement of the built environment of Hammersmith

The Society are delighted to be supporting the national statue to Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in this the tercentenary year of his birth, in recognition of his local connection with Hammersmith.
